Tips & Tricks

  • This multi-layer chocolate cake is best served cold. After refrigerating it (ideally over night), let the multi-layer chocolate cake rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.
  • To add a little extra flair to this multi-layer chocolate cake, consider adding some chopped nuts or other mix-ins of your choice!
  • If you don't have a 6-inch cake ring, you can use an 8-inch spring-form pan instead. To ensure that the multi-layer chocolate cake remains level, place the pan on top of a baking sheet lined with parchment paper before putting it in the oven.
  • For an even more indulgent multi-layer chocolate cake, consider making a dark chocolate sauce to drizzle over the top.
  • For a fun twist on this classic multi-layer chocolate cake recipe, consider adding your favorite mix-ins such as nuts, coconut flakes, or sprinkles. Or, top it with fresh fruit for added flavor and texture.
  • For vegan multi-layer chocolate cake, simply substitute plant-based milk for dairy milk and use vegan dark or white chocolate.
  • For keto multi-layer chocolate cake, use your favorite low-carb sweetener and sugar-free dark or white chocolate.
  • Play around with the sequence of the layers to create a unique multi-layer chocolate cake.
